Bassaly Development is a 2nd generation, family owned and operated development company. Based in Queens, we have been developing property throughout New York City and Long Island for over 40 years.
Our focus is on acquiring and developing mid-high end residential condominiums, rental apartment buildings and small multifamily homes in primary locations throughout Queens and Brooklyn. With in-house expertise in zoning analysis, design and construction management experience, we take a vertically integrated approach to development.
The firm was founded by Djalil Bassaly, who started out his career as an architect and project manager in Iran. After completing several large developments for the government of Iran, he immigrated to the US in late 1970 to begin his career as a developer of homes in Queens. In 2012, he was joined by his son Andy Bassaly. Andy graduated from Boston University’s School of Management. Upon joining the business, Andy focused on developing mid-size multifamily buildings and high end townhomes. Together they have developed over 40 different projects including mid-rise residential buildings, custom homes, garden style row houses and medical/commercial facilities.
